Welcome to Good Samaritan Catholic Church!
So come, make yourself at home, and be a part of our family here at Good Samaritan Catholic Church in Ellijay. Browse the pages, read Father's blog over at Days of Grace, or drop us an email from time to time. Of course, if you are ever in Ellijay, please come by and thank our Lord with us at Mass!
Welcome to Good Samaritan Catholic Church on the web! Jesus, the Great Good Samaritan, picks us up from the gutter of the road in our lives and brings us to the "inn" that is his Church. It is in this place that we find real food, rest, and healing through the Sacrifice of the Mass, the sacraments, and lives of service. Here, in our humble "inn" in Ellijay, Georgia, Jesus Christ gives us the strength and Grace to learn to truly become good samaritans for others!

Queen of the Clergy is here
A new statue, Queen of the Clergy, has been welcomed to Good Samaritan. It comes with an intriguing history and the promise of adding a new dimension to the spiritual welfare of our community. The statue holds a permanent place in the church, but an attractive framed picture of the statue is now available to enable families to join in a special devotion to the Queen of the Clergy and Families. Parishioners can sign up to keep the picture in their homes for a week while beginning a 9-day novena. Information about the statue and the novena will be provided to families who wish to participate. Father Randy has requested that the picture be picked up at weekend Mass and returned the following weekend. (Read the history of the statue in the News section) |
